Be interested in what people make of that one actually. I thought maybe 'Miasma of art' was referring to the Museum of art, or the art establishment and how art and history is presented, I guess, cos it goes on to talking about history with "once this happened" and it feels like he's wandering through a museum - I might be totally wrong about this though.

Then the lines "I am omnipresent to some extent" and "constant ephemerals" seem like keys to unlocking what his work's about.

Any help with these poems is much appreciated

Costa elicit phone antics twice
over. Thick nails ought lambent
circumnavigate. Cur, betoken
forth mule, complicate the
landscape. And are we to
fall gently to salt crust, lie
quivering?

Redound to great credit
lapis ocean. Map once
drawn distorts the cost.

I got a second hand copy of vol 1 for a song off Amazon and I'm keeping an eye out for vol 2. This one's gonna keep me going for a long time though

Picasso has a couple of poems in the Penguin anthology of Surrealist poetry.
There's a bit of Picasso material in poems for the millennium too but it doesnt seem very interesting. Some by Kandinsky too, but I haven't read those yet. Seems like they were all having a go at it.

Here's a couple more Klee poems:

read this
Got this yesterday and spent all last night and this morning reading it - blown away.

It's got tons of Pound's own translations (including the mind-blowing Seafarer) and brilliantly pithy comments, plus extracts from his ABC of Reading at the back, a very entertaining and useful syllabus/reading guide by someone called Vincent Miller who I assumed to be an EP alias but turns out to be a real person, and the selection just seems impeccable. The Arthur Golding translations of Ovid are amazing, so vivid and exciting - blood n guts everywhere

It's a ten out of ten anthology.

Bagged a cheap copy of poems for the millenium vol 2, arrived today, flicking through it. What a feast.

Went straight to the Celan poems in there cos I'd seen Prynne was a big fan and and wow.

Plus surprised to see Prynne himself included in there! I thought he refused to let his stuff get published in anthologies. It's got that really good one from Wound response, an evening walk.

Corpsey

bandz ahoy
The Oxford Book of English Verse ed. Ricks

Fuck knows how it measures up to other anthologies but I dip into it all the time and am always discovering something great.

There's another anthology (Penguin?) which goes through the English poetical canon in chronological order, rather than poet by poet, which is useful for comparing poems from the same year, etc.

They look good @Corpsey wouldn't mind owning thos myself. I reckon you'd enjoy the Pound-curated Confucius to Cummings one too. But do you never fancy reading some more modern/weird stuff?
