im not going to defend drill i dont care but pogo is boing boing boing and drill workd in a slightly different way

Yes, but in drill, the accented beat is the kick. This is a world away from jungle, where its not the kick but the snares which do the accenting. In drill the snares serve as syncopation, yes, but the actual emphasis is on the thud-thud (or bounce beat as you would put it) of the kickdrum.

Hey I have love for barty. I mean his theories are outlandish and ridiculous and will break down if any historian subjected them to any kind of scrutiny, but most music heads are incestuous. I don't have to agree with his theories to agree with his overall project!

The ionian- the first mode. The 4th and 5th I think have some sort of major use, or at least all have the major third interval. And the 2nd 3rd and 6th modes have the minor 3rd interval I believe
