Yeah fair dos. I've just been pointing out some of the underlying motivations I can see behind conspiracism in this thread.
I know what you mean about politics just using minorities in this country.
I don't have that felt perception of being differently raced no, even though I am (well half of me is) - 'cos I look so white I have to consciously think myself into that perspective tbh, though I do think that gives me a sense of not fully fitting in or not identifying with class and social structures in the same way as someone from a different background might do. But I think this is true of near everyone to one degree or another.

Oh sure. If I'm doing political work I will fight tooth and nail to combat conspiracy-like thinking, not least because undercover coppers love it. I don't mean to be harsh about the whole spycops scandal, but reading some of the interviews I was like kind of yeah, in hindsight its pretty obvious these people were dodge. @luka is right that I should not be in charge of a political organisation cos I'll constantly test people with very long and boring books, the bain of the old bill.

Yeah, see, this is where I tend to roll my eyes. Global hegemony as we know it coming from America was pioneered by Britain. This is why for instance America supported Egypt in the Suez canal incident, because gb/france were trying to retain their old land-based colonialist imperialism. Whereas American imperialism thrives on naval supremacy - I.E: imperialism via remote control (symbolically reflected in the monstrous deviation that is the aircraft carrier.)

No, I get it.

The twitter author is insufficiently anti-american, they want to retain a pre-world war II version of America, ignoring that it was precisely world war II's destruction and devaluation of capital which allowed america to become the global hegemon.

i was offering it in opposition to the craner credo, which is that everything happens by accident, nothing is willed, nothing is planned, and no one is behind it

Not sure I get you. All the European colonial empires were based on sea power, and Britain's most of all. It was only Russia that expanded purely on land.
