Does make one wonder about federal operations involving Antifa and Proud Boys.

I don't think that's quite the same thing. There are documented interactions between Proud Boys and law enforcement, but I get the impression they're mostly LARPing members of the public with a few informants and more serious people amongst their ranks.

Often true, but not always, and it's important not to fall into the habit of delegitimizing any opposition in any country with a government unfriendly to the USA as "CIA stooges". (Not that you would, I'm sure - but plenty of people do.)
its more complicated than this. this is the trite way of looking at it.

Greetings from Sarajevo,

Who’s the most corrupt person of 2021?

Every year, OCCRP journalists and readers nominate candidates who they think have done the most to advance corruption.

Previous winners include: Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro (2020), Former Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat (2019), and Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte (2017).

It’s time to nominate your candidate for 2021. A panel of judges will review submissions and select a winner at the end of the year.

The architect of this under-the-radar campaign to smother privacy protections has been Jay Carney, who previously served as communications director for Joe Biden, when Biden was vice president, and as press secretary for President Barack Obama. Hired by Amazon in 2015, Carney reported to founder Jeff Bezos and built a lobbying and public-policy juggernaut that has grown from two dozen employees to about 250, according to Amazon documents and two former employees with knowledge of recent staffing.

The Reuter's article provided the Amazon link to request all of the data they have compiled on you, but it may only pertain to residents of certain jurisdictions. The article specified that California was once such jurisdiction where Amazon lobbying efforts were insufficient.

I've just requested disclosure of the data collected about me, and I'll report back here once I get the email.

Next-day delivery of almost any product is a great service, but this article is making clear that Amazon customers have had no idea what the price is they are paying for this service.

By 2020, Amazon had registered at least 180 lobbyists in 44 U.S. states, up from at least 62 lobbyists in 27 states in 2014, the year before Carney arrived, according to a Reuters analysis of state records.

That said, I haven't used Amazon in a while, and I don't have Alexa, so I doubt their dossier on me will be extensive, but I may be surprised.

Amazon launched a “watering the flowers” program to cultivate a “well-tended garden” of VIPs (Very Important Policymakers) through carefully tracked political donations, meetings and Amazon site tours.

True, and while I do most of my browsing under an alias, sometimes an alias + TOR, I anticipate most of my legal information (social security number, address, even some of those personal questions for security measures, etc) is accessible by Amazon one way or another. We'll see what is included in the dossier they email to me.
