It's not just the money I don't think. It's that everyone is oriented by it. It's all that's talked about it's the primary basis of social value.

I helped at least a few poor chicano kids get into college so I hope that buys me enough slack to get into heaven even if the rest of my days are spent being a nice, but passive, guy

WYH says Britain is a dour country full of illness and misery and I ought to stay away, hang in the south of France. Hell of a patriot. Is he right Dissensus? Will I only get sick and depressed once I step across the national boundary

For me the ultimate social project would be a mass enlightenment, namely getting people to have faith in their own consciousness as a vanguard of nature. Short of that, most of us will default to our conditioning, be it ancient or contemporary, and money is a pretty solid unit of value, practically speaking.

A straightforward, fractionable, reliable means of mediating commerce between otherwise incommensurable goods and services.

That said, I'm with you in that the wealth I've been accumulating / progress I've been making isn't resume friendly for the most part (knowledge as a form of wealth that isn't as tangible as the various material forms of wealth). Actually you are way farther ahead than I am on that front, from what works of yours I saw listed on your site.

I.E you have many things to point to that encapsulate the work you've done, progress you've made, etc.

Just that these areas don't often offer tangible bottom-line benefits, hence their marginalization in idea markets, why traditional busipeople generally don't place a high premium on continental philosophy, etc.

One of the reason's I'm interested in couching some of these continental theories, methods, etc. in a capitalist framework, one in which the bottom line can be reckoned with. A triple-bottom line capitalism in my case, but still largely confined to idealism, ill-informed.

Knowledge is information and money is information too these days
