it's like pastiche voice.
bob dylan has a great voice but i was thinking about this the other day as i was sat at a cafe unable to decide if the music i was listening to was 'the real thing' or a modern day replica, like, was it really 2nd tier 70s americana rock or not... then remembering that the 'real thing' was a pastiche all along. the band were pastiche. dylan wasn't really a sharecropper, hobo, freight train rider, jagger was not really a black man from the missipsipi delta etc

It is sort of the same for me with the rolling stones, I like the odd song but there's something I can't get past.

i'll stuff 20 ecstasies in your bum and put you on a train to burnley and force you to go out clubbing to a hard house night

There are two distinctly parallel conversations going on in this thread...

Next up is the western economic order turning Francophobic and mandating the planting of rose gardens.
Since craner isn't here, I feel I should point out that it's only French cinema he doesn't like; he approves of France in general.

but

HOWEVER, that gives an England:Wales sheep-shagging ratio of 25:2, or 12.5:1, while England has about 17 times the population of Wales, so proportionally it's still more prevalent in Wales.

And in any case, they're obviously at it all the time. They're just really good at it so they don't get caught very often.

Surely the relative rates of sheep-shagging are less of a red flag than the shear amount of it going on...
