Universally agreed terrible film(s)

Beast of Burden
I think I have a good one, and I have actually seen it so I can confirm it really is a thing of wonder: The Interpreter

Peter Bradshaw did his job well in this case:

i vote for the new world.

i've never seen it, that other one he did where brad pitt is dancing on the beach at the end was enough for me.

re the room... i went to see the film about it directed by that actor, and it's really good as it goes. crazy story.

has anyone seen a film called "keeping mum"? that's pretty terrible but in the so bad its good category.

"In MMA there can only be one champion" - but don't you have loads of different weights and male and female belts? So the first line of the trailer is complete bollocks.

Though the bit saying "look for it on dvd" is probably much truer than they hoped...

the answer is probably gonna be something from a franchise or a terrible sequel. a huge audience before release so millions go to see it, and then its the worst film ever so everyone knows. and it gets remembered because of the disappointment

like one of the poorer bond films e.g. quantum of solace

I'd watch it - it looks a worthy addition to the 'underground martial arts tournament' genre

Corpsey

bandz ahoy
The Room is a good shout actually – although people love it for its unintentional humour, that doesn't make it good. And it's bad in a very peculiar way – starring and financed, written and directed by a talentless, narcissistic and probably mentally ill man.

And unlike your standard straight-to-video piece of shit quite a lot of people know about/have seen The Room.

Probably the only person who actually thinks The Room is good is Tommy Wiseau himself. So not quite universal, but close enough.

It's worse than you can imagine. The most notable thing about it is the fight scenes are terrible despite the film starring the best fighters on the planet

I was going to say nearly the same thing but then I thought of how much people really do enjoy going to see it and how much fun they have, bringing props to the cinema etc. so there is something endearing and entertaining about it to many many people.

the film people really think is worst I think would be something that's incredibly boring and unwatchable, and not even funny in how bad it is. the drawn out political bureacracy scenes in the star wars prequels come to mind. I can't imagine anyone on the planet enjoying watching that

That's the flaw in this thread, though, you are just asking us to regurgitate accepted opinion.
I'm asking people if there is a widely accepted view on a specific topic, and if so, what it is.
But yeah, it's a thread asking for information rather than opinion, at least in theory - is that a flaw? If someone starts a thread asking for information about releases on a record label is that flawed? If someone tells someone else a fact that they weren't aware of is that simply another way of saying that they have regurgitated some opinion for them and that they shouldn't have bothered?

If the question is 'which film has the highest number of people on the planet who have seen it and had a really bad time watching it' then I think it's prob one of them star wars prequels. and episode ii is the most hated one. millions upon millions of people bored out of their minds.
