thats why i call myself a poet i literally spend two minutes typring gibberish i didnt have to learn anything. no thought involved. no effort
there's obviously a lot of long term practice and study going into what you do, even if you couldn't make a nice rocky-style montage out of it. close reading prynne and then bashing out an unnecessarily good poem about someone's office party. repeat every day... has to add up.

but as far as doja cat, yeah i think there was definitely the feeling on 4chan when the "mooo!" vid came out that she was somehow "representing the culture" lol. for that reason i never expected her to get anywhere near as mainstream. definitely couldn't have happened just a few years earlier.
The vid she got cancelled for was crazy because she really was talking to nerdy looking 4chan losers and there she was actually flirting with them. World famous attractive starlet making eyes at guys with multiple monitor set ups

I saw some video essay talking about a wire scene as the best ever and it was two dudes giving out street knowledge while playing a chess game

i didn't see that but it sort of makes sense. similar thing with someone like dasha. old enough to have grown up when 4chan was still sort of considered a fun anarchic prankster-ish culture (albeit an often really cruel one) rather just a bunch of pathetic, seething mass shooteres.

He did get too high at one point and just stood off about 30 yards from us loitering on the gas station wall.
I was soaking up the sunshine... I still remember that moment. The warmth, the light.
