An odd thing about the trip was that he claimed it was an active farm and there were houses and machinery every where but we didnt see another living soul

and as i think you pointed out everything looked like it hadn't been used for some time. eerily sleepy.

I caught him in a slip up aswell. He was talking about his days at cambridge and I went 'dont you mean Columbia?' and he freaked out and started listing everything he knew about both colleges like he was trying to prove to us he really did go to Columbia and had lived in new york

Remember how much he knew about cranberry farming? Theoretically, if you were to kill everyone on a cranberry farm and live there alone, youd need to know how to keep shipping out cranberrys so no one asks questions

seems like pop music stars, more often than other famous people, start off as awkward dorks who gradually will themselves into the "shining ones" class. if you were already good looking and charismatic you wouldn't need to bother diligently practicing singing or whatever for hours every day, you could just model or appear on a disney channel show, nothing more required.

Every time I catch a tv show I'm appalled at how bad the acting is. I don't know if acting is very hard or most actors are idiots but it can be the inverse of pop stars where you start out charismatic and good looking and then learn the craft later in your career.
