It's a great Fisher quote insofar as it perfectly encapsulates a certain political worldview.

I think the other side's argument is: humans are animals with deep biological functions/needs/behaviors just like every other animal. Human history is a process of discovering how to meet those needs/desires, and accommodate those behaviors, in a harmonious way that lives up to our cultural ideals. The political history of "natural order" being abused is real—we are still very ignorant about what is necessary vs contingent, and it's always in the interest of the powerful to present their contingency as natural.

I imagine this difference in worldview largely comes down to one's diagnosis of how much we know/have discovered about our biological selves. Whether we're still in "groping in the dark" phase, and should keep radically experimenting, seeking ever-higher local optima, or whether we actually know quite a bit, and should incrementally build on this rather than undermine its very basis.

dissensus collective application?

FTHo is at the foreground of experimental art education and a place where students and a wider public can come to test the boundaries of what is teachable and knowable. Latham rejected traditional forms of learning and believed that the truth could not be taught. FTHo’s educational activities embody Latham’s ideas to teach the un-teachable, both by demonstrating their un-teachability and by presenting different ways of thinking about knowledge, education and artistic practice and the relative values of each of these things.

'My practice explores the intersection of private and public space, in the context of art and culture, and is committed to developing new strategies and techniques that promote and foster awareness of, and engagement with, equitable and diverse dialogue around issues of cultural and social space , in an increasingly technological, social and urban context.'

Our assemblage will comment on New Cross / Deptford as it currently exists (mainly slagging off Goldsmiths) and whilst simultaneously reaching back to the Deptford Urban Free Festivals of the 1990s (mainly slagging off crusties) and the Moonshot club (mainly bigging up Jah Shaka).

'My practice interrogates themes of shared memory and loss when situated in the context of a historical, social, and cultural milieu. The focus of my work is the process of the formation of collective identity, that requires us to develop a set of values in the face of new and shifting social conditions.'

'My unique aesthetic, materials, and methods consist of the fabrication of site-specific installations, which include many custom features that reflect the history of our community and its people. I strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment to those who are from diverse backgrounds, ages, and gender. This is accomplished through an attention to detail and a dedication to manufacturing a memorable experience for each and every person who encounters the space. '

Pandemic, poesis and praxis: mapping an urban cuntology for COVID

The logos of AIDS in the post-Fordist sphere demanded the transmutation of sexuality to decay. However, all sexuality is inherently in a state of decay. COVID offers a true form of sexual liberation for the polymorphous proletariat, creating an urban network of dialectical rhizomes fulfilling roles such as ‘parent’, ‘patient’, ‘whore’ and ‘fucker’. By embracing and transmitting these new variants, we can derive fresh perspectives on community, identity and the potential for radical change.
