Watching it from near the start. Somewhat ostentatious multiculturalism, but I guess it's better than its absence.

I think public policy / tax credits is only the basis, and much of the change would have to come from consumer demand.

And its not like the green transition won't be profitable

Blah blah, poised to accelerate the energy transition, blah blah, net zero infrastructure strategy, electrify the future, carbon neutrality, Greta Thunberg does something, levelling up agenda, onshore wind prospectus, innovation hub, 2030, 2050, next Tuesday, everyone leaves the hall for a Fairtrade coffee when the president of Indonesia comes on.

Galloway's live on RT now and just said "They're crying into their cucumber smoothies...this could all have been done on Zoom, by the way. WAR is the biggest threat to the environment."

Flicking between this, COP and the Rittenhouse trial. Top afternoon.

A photo from the opening of COP26 showed British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, the summit’s host, warmly greeting US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett. But rather than fete them, we should treat this triumvirate as the big villains of the climate talks.
Their armed forces are the most polluting on the planet - and the goal at COP26 is to keep that fact a closely guarded secret.

“In September, I was attending the IUCN congress in Marseille, and I was totally shocked to see people dining outside restaurants that they are heating [with gas]. This should be illegal,” she said.

“There are many things that should be changed in the way of life of many European or North American or Chinese people. You have to make a choice or have to make a sacrifice.”
