For no particular reason except that it's been running through my mind these last couple of days...

One thing I notice about TVZ is that if he's stuck for the next thing to say he always puts in some pointless couplet involving a rhyme with some exotic sounding place name (exotic if you're from Swindon anyhow, maybe not if you are not from the Southern US).

Not exactly a criticism but when you start noticing an artist's tricks and figuring out how they do things it's a bit like knowing how a magic trick is done. And I only know about three songs by him so it makes me think that probably his tricks are not Paul Daniels level.

Edit: my tune of the day ended up slating the artist in question, probably completely unfairly after extrapolating from a tiny number of songs. Oh well, such is life.

came across a reference to k kutta in an old thread on here. must have listened to this ten times since last night. just a massively satisfying set of sounds. the bass in particular is very satisfying. instantly liked it, am happy every time i put it on, and probably in about a week i'll never want to hear it again.
this is so Florida

I don't claim to be a big Minnie fan but I've always loved how that songs changes gears after the first minute, kind of jumps a whole other level.

Did you check that Three Degrees one I put above? It's their stab at a rotary connection/riperton type sound I think.

This came on after Kendrick's album cos I found it on @craner's 101-200 list and it says something about the Kendrick album that I didn't immediately realize this wasn't from that album. Seriously though I can imagine him rapping over this.

Not a huge for the the 'chre as y'all know but although this does get a bit boring after a while perhaps it's tight as a drum.
