I took an Uber today and assured the driver that, despite what the letter from the NHS said, his diabetes type 2 CAN go into total remission and that, contrary to what the nurse said, he should eat as many eggs and as much meat as he likes. Just squash the carbs, not the beef. He'd been really depressed about this t2d prognosis, so he was very grateful. This wasn't unsolicited advice, he'd been ruminating on the NHS doom letter all week and had to share after a little smalltalk about the weather.

What about reversing MS?

What about reversing MS?

That's a tough one, being autoimmune. Adequate vitamin d and healthy gut microbiota may reduce risk of it developing and relapsing. With type 2, it's a pretty simple case of eating the wrong food at the wrong time (IE all the time), one foundational system going awry. MS looks to have a genetic?/immunological component which is less easy to fix with a simple correction.

Are athletes collapsing in other sports too, or is it just football? I've only heard about it happening to footballers.

Some of them play a ridiculous number of games these days. If you're making deep tournament runs alongside playing in the league then you can be looking at 50+ games a season, plus you've got international games and tournaments which give you like a month before the club season kicks off again and you have to play another 50+ games.
