i mostly experience what you call metaphysical hangovers. if it's winter i wake up late afternoon so it's sometimes dark already, i think it adds a jet lag effect to your hangover cos it feels like you skipped a day. i feel disorientated, tired, weak. the headache is so bad i have to dim most of the lights or need sunglasses. i can't read a line of text or see a movie longer than 10 minutes. sometimes i force myself to go outside, but then i get confronted with people who are active and joyful and it makes me feel even worse, as if i've wasted a day. the second day of my hangover i feel tired and sleepy, as if i'm experiencing everything from under a veil.

@luka The few I've had recently have been physically and psychologically devastating, so now I avoid them.
easier said than done, no?

yyyaldrin, i agree with you you should definitely give up drinking, at least for a month or so to try it out. doesn't sound worth it to me.

Let's Talk About Ceps
I've heard that a friend of mine who caught it last October (therefore probably Delta variant) still can't walk for five minutes without being exhausted, is still off sick from work, basically scared like hell that she's never really going to "get better".
