In a sort of convoluted way - I'd found a copy of Blissed Out in the library in late 90s so I was into Reynolds' stuff, then a bit later discovered he had a blog, and from there Woebot and then eventually Dissensus. I joined in 2007 but I was lurking for a year or two before that.

Maybe not so convoluted but pretty typical actually, a lot of people of our age would have discovered it in a similar way

Ah, champion sound is an excellent example, the super low pitched and high-pitched midi horns work so well together to create that sense of panic.
