saw a good one on twitter: "Ghislaine Maxwell becomes the first person in history to be convicted of trafficking children to nobody."

Jeremy Kyle just interviewed her from prison and she claimed the Prince Andrew photo was faked and Epstein was murdered.

Watched a documentary about her the other day, nothing really new to me but just the relentlessness of following it all step by step from capn bob, to Epstein to jail.

One totally irrelevant aside though, so the name is pronounced with the s silent, something like Gi-lane - and all posh people seem to somehow instinctively know that, even though as far as I'm aware it's not even a real name. The only times I've ever heard it are with Ghislaine Maxwell, and in relation to his boat, the Lady Ghislaine. So, is it a real name... or is there really this kind of posh person telepathy that explains how certain people are born knowing which fork to use when or the correct way to address a duke etc

I've mentioned before that one of my best friends is her cousin, he's always pronounced it Gil-lane, with a hard G.

Yeah that's what they said - hard G, no S.
But who decided that? Has anyone in the history of the world ever had that name before?

Aha that answers my question rather neatly, I wonder if he took the name directly from there... either way, it is a real name and he didn't invent it. Thanks for settling that

The Lady Ghislaine? Absolutely. Seems when he was using the yacht Cap'n Bob would rise in the mornings and stride to the side naked where he would fire off his morning piss into the sea in a predictably macho act of territory marking.

If we accept the official story then apparently one morning an unexpected wave washed him over the side and ultimately into the Knesset while he was performing this ablution.
