I know what my problem is with the music Gus likes.
Even though I do think in english sometimes I still hardly listen to more than 30% of the lyric content in tunes if the language is any other than my native.
Might be something related to how my attention works.
Before I started speaking english more, I was already switched to the mode of listening that strains to discern the elements that make the whole, to catch the way the timbres morph etc.
Hence I will never be able to get into pop music properly. Except it's polish pop. For better or worse.
Wektor are you a Pole?

something magical happened Boredoms transitioned to V∞redoms - there's a bit on the BOADRUM77 dvd where it's difficult for me not to be overwhelmed with joy

100%. I was at the thing in DUMBO Brooklyn on the 77 Boa Drum dvd, know one of the drummers and snuck into the pre-show walkthrough in one of the warehouses nearby. it was a really great 90 minutes on a warm summer evening (started at 7:07 pm on July 7 [7/7], 2007).

a few Springsteen tracks on "born to run" were considered epic at the time. maybe still are for a lot of people.

not about to read the past 13 pages (no offense, Gus), so not sure what's been posted. 61 million YouTube views can't be wrong. or maybe they can.

Something about this is off, but it's close.
Definitely the most epic Robyn song. Not 100% sure it's epic but it's almost there.

does something like "born to run" or "jungle land" translate internationally, you think? they seem so urAmerica, yet that sort of thing is also fetishized (or hated) in various parts of the world.

does this work in, say, Australia or Italy?
