Imagine being in the crowd for this seminal event

I can only liken it to being present at the Last Supper, Woodstock or the Neon Dreams launch party

I'm sure someone on here's already pointed this out but "Out of Time" samples this 1983 choon

I kept thinking they absolutely nailed the 80s sound on that song and now I know why

I've had one or another song off this lodged in my head on loop this week.

It was Don't Break My Heart today.

Don’t break my heart is so slick, drums especially, luke text me earlier saying it’s the one that really seduced him and made him reconsider his whole position. Said he was sliding around his living room in his socks and signing to himself in the mirror

The weeknd and opn read dissensus btw. Cos look what I said in last year:

do you agree that the best song is the one with the weeknd @version ? and do you agree that the best song off the last weeknd album was the one produced by opn? and do you agree they need to make an album of these pop ballads for depressed perverts like yourslef and myself? is that what you'd agree with yourself if you were asked?

and @version abused me for it

Yes and 0PN has referenced CCRU and there’s the warp connection too. I think wild greens is probably the weeknd

Plus he has Rilke's Diuno elegy on there, a poem I'd literally never heard of before Luka mentioned it.

This is why he's JH Prynne's favourite singer, or so I've heard.

The First Elegy
Who, if I cried out, would hear me among the angels' hierarchies?

and even if one of them pressed me suddenly against his heart:
I would be consumed in that overwhelming existence.
For beauty is nothing but the beginning of terror, which we are still just able to endure,
and we are so awed because it serenely disdains to annihilate us.
Every angel is terrifying.
