I normally hate live albums too, but it seems like they're the type of band that have more live albums than studio ones, like the grateful dead or something

You must dispense with your anglo prejudices. German twee is different to Anglo twee. Much more cosmic, more exalted. This is what I mean, you need to work with German music. 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪

i found it drippy. it's one of those things i'll give another chance now and again to see if i've changed or it's changed but it hasn't clicked so far.

You need to embrace the non-linguistic to get timewind. It's an endless variation on the same, true space music. better than most of Terry Riley, definitely.

one of your special magic tricks is to reverse valuations, but drippy over muscular or pallid over intense i dont think i can go along with

But it's weightless! That's the whole point.

Unlike Terry Riley who tries to be all high-falutin about it Klaus just jams on eliptical arpeggios for 25-30 mins. proper, it's actually got no fat whereas Riley and even Steve Reich do.

It's not supposed to be intense in that way, more the intensity of melding into the environment and expanding with the tactility of the sound.

Let's Talk About Ceps
I'm starting to get the impression that Tangerine Dream have spent the last half-century somehow making music more rapidly than you could listen to in real time.
