Welsh krautrock which according to the info that came with the record is made from some recently rediscovered long lost tapes made in 1977 or something... yeah right... anyway, the first two tracks have the ghost of a motorik rhythm haunting their melodies. I guess that approach makes sense in that, if you get it right, you can borrow some of the hypnotic rock effect of the originals but still allow yourself a bit of wriggle-room

I just feel that there should be some stuff out there that is motorik techno but I don't really know anything that sounds like the noise in my head (and I don't know how to make it either before someone suggests that I do that).
Actually this one is the nearest to that idea (that I'm aware of), dunno why I didn't think of it cos I have played it a lot over the years.

Chrome - Wings born in The Night

learn to embrace the bad trip, indeed, so much to be learnt from a bad trip, a psychedelic classic

was reminded of that because of this acid punk motorik track:

Chrome - Frankenstein's Party

A lot of people seem to rate that one highly, I certainly prefer the original though.

it's a bit of a toss up, but I'm probably more drunk than stoned nowadays, and it seems Loop win out after a few glasses of rum

( although Spacemen 3 > Loop in the long run )*

* assuming Loop were a spacemen 3 copycat band, which is a reasonable position to take...

I have one Loop live bootleg, and I've listened to it once, however I have a bunch of SP3 live CDs and they get played a lot

SP3 > Loop

I thought I'd already put the advert up but I can't find it. Anyway on Friday he is gonna do a thing at this bar we're kinda affiliated with, he's gonna play a whole set of stuff that he either produced or remixed - much of it unreleased - and all the profits will go to the bar to make it less shit. And that same night Vladimir is in town cos he's playing at Lux and he contacted us saying that he wants to come along to that first.

Nisennenmondai – Boiler Room In Stereo

I've probably committed a cardinal sin that will get me a lifetime ban; yeah, I've uploaded a boiler room set, but in my defence this is one of the greatest displays of live 21st century motorik in action ever

edit: repeated posts of a few of the same bands tonight, but I was / am extremely drunk, and repetition is integral to the motorik mode
