Pandemic missed opportunities

It's weird, I personally know more people who have had it in the past two months than any time before, the latest variant(s) seem to be more contagious and pushing up the numbers. most people have gotten through it in 5-10 days (often in bed unable to function for at least a few), one has persistent shortness of breath three weeks later. a few of them already had it from an earlier variant.

even weirder, two people who have gotten through it the easiest: a 96-year old aunt who had very mild symptoms, and my immunocompromised 68-year old sister, who had a few days of coughing and achy joints.

Cos their immune systems were less able to be reprogrammed by vax or previous infection cos old and so react more flexibly

isn't it possible that the vax/boosters helped prevent them from getting sicker?

I don't think I can make it any clearer: there are tenured academic statisticians in the uk who think the vax do f all... and they're a damned sight more independent than the politicians and drug peddlers

I know there's an umlaut, being but didn't think it would matter on this monoglot forum.

Anyway, hop you're all keeping well, no spontaneous neoplasms or ischemic episodes?
