What does "white" mean anyway? Non-Afro/Carribean?

The best MC in the galaxy is of Czech / Kurdish origins

i tried to low you with GLC but this is stupid, this is like when Americans try to say that Unknown P/Big Shaq are the only good rappers to come from the UK

also i forgot to respond to what you said about Aitch and Ardee, i'm not a fan those two give off too much of a "coolest kid in the seaside provincial town" vibe for my liking but i guess with them compared to prior generations the rappers who come after the first bunch have the freedom of being able to loosen up and do things that the previous lot didn't where because they were the first wave they felt like they had to set president and treat it as serious as a heart attack prove that their thing was as legit was whatever else was going on in music.

in a way its like lead singer syndrome

i mean look @luka i've liked UK hip hop in the past and there's a few bits i've heard that i thought were interesting but from the pervading talk i hear about it on here it's like man carry this deep sense of shame for thinking that Gunshot had a chance to cross over in America or whatever.

the people i've come across who are still into that are either these 2 stoner brehs that i know one of them that i went to secondary school with or the odd few Americans who talk about being into groups like say Rhyme Syndicate and dem boy there who haven't meant anything to most people since 2003

My coordinates are I am located somewhere in the Milky Way, and I know who the best MC in that galaxy is. Beyond that area, I have no opinion.

Yes I was joking about Grindah, but it's worth noting he can hold his own with General Levy too.

no idea who yeat is but its the same thing again isn't it, basically this lad is enthusiastic about some music that he likes but it comes across as ridiculous because he's white and it's rap

It's a bit more than that though mate isn't it. Perfect simulacrum of post-pitchfork, twitter-geared, popcult rap fandom in overdrive.

sounds more like he's imitating hot97 than pitchfork to me. on the twitter thing to my ear he speaks like pretty much every 18 year old american speaks, which is a way of speaking and thinking that i find weird and alienating but.....well that's how they speak now isn't it

depends which era of hot 97 you're talking about. this isn't stretch and bobito era!

Of course he doesn't speak like Pitchfork, but it's that value set of people finding subcultural affiliation in the throwaway, in what is basically trite and played out, what is, in essence, from a subcultures point of view, boring. I don't want to say conformist because céline Dion was conformist but there is also a perverse fascination with her (by all accounts) revoltingly corney music.
