I didn't know he had anything to do with that. I do know he was involved with terror danjah in early days though.

Classic shape shifter.

Tbh I don't like many of his tunes, nothing since he got picked up on by hyperdub. I think he had a couple of decent Funky tunes that I can't remember the names of before he went all night slugs/hyperdub. Taliban's a banger though eh?

I've had a go with a few of his albums but never listened to any more than once. Strikes me as someone who can't make a full proper tune, but has a lot of decent melodies.

I tbink his forte is definitely live and loose chat on the radio.

Like this cherry b game he's got going on right now.

Musically, I sort of associate him negatively with the gentrification/hyperdubification of Rinse tbh (same with terra danjahs later stuff and trims later stuff), but he is a funny host

He played at soup kitchen in Manchester recently but I didn't go, couldn't get it together. Have I said this elsewhere I'm not sure, but I've no interest really, recently, in going out to a live music night. I'm sure that will change as soon as I go to a single show tho.

But yeah, back to scratcha, what I like, listening to these shows, is how on it he is, he's enthusiastic and got good guests, all of whom are producing good tunes, and I just like to hear his voice and get the sense there's something going on.

I really need that, I need something that is happening now, that I can latch onto.

I don't have that, and I don't think it's scratcha, but maybe I'll find it thru scratcha.

There's a hyperdub show on rinse with kode9 and terror danjah, it always sticks in my mind, and kode9 plays piano madness or something and terror says to him, do you think I was a better producer then or now, and kofe says then and you know its true and terror is just like, yeah.

It's this moment that always stuck with me.

The main thing I remember from the Rinse show is the Hype Williams interview where you can't tell if there's actually something going on between Dean and Inga or it's just another of their pranks.

Yeah that's a classic show, Dean turns up at the end and previews a tune and says he would ve come sooner if someone invited him down.

I think it's a bit of both probsbly, that was the genuine beginning of the end of hype williams

Did anyone watch the thing he did in lockdown with Tim and Barry, where he had blaise boiler room on. Unwatchable really

I mean yeah, off these last few posts from me, but not really. I think he's alright. But I sort of know what you mean, do you feel like he's ruined things a bit? I mean, not going off those last couple posts from me, forget them, I mean otherwise

uk music was gentrified long before kode nine.

If you really want to point fingers aim them at 1xtra, kiss 100, and even Choice fm tbh.

Yeah I do and I did at the time. Not all his fault obviously, it probably had to happen, but yeah he played a part in it.
