They Hate Change

just came across this lot earlier today Florida rap duo whose influences seem to be all the "nuum shit that's the bedrock of so many people on here (one interview i've read they even mentioned the ruff sound ting that Novelist was trying to push for a while), this might be the most dissensus thing ever and cause of that i can see this either being divisive or straight down the middle(for me i'm kinda in the middle)

@version and me talked about it briefly in my white rapper thread how drills probably the first time the UK/US relationship as far as influence has gone in the other direction and this is another example, their new album is out on Friday think i might take a crack at it myself.

they bring up this album as an early pivotal influence and i can hear it

i also get clipping vibes from them aswell, the "experimental hip hop" group that has Daveed Diggs as one of its members @Clinamenic i could see you loving clipping if you're not aware of them

I like Daveed Diggs as an actor, but I haven't listened to his music. I loved Blindspotting and I moderately enjoyed the first season of Snowpiercer.

I'm enjoying this piece so far.

Screwface was the first thing I heard from them a while back:

The newer stuff has strayed a bit more towards that whole "Florida Breaks" sound that was kind of mirroring the Nu Skool Breaks movement in the UK in the 90s. Fuel, Marine Parade... all that stuff. Breaks and electro. I never really clicked with that stuff.
