OK, here you go mate, it's online now @catalog

Had some technical difficulties which means that it was "mixed" in Audacity ie I could not change the speeds continuously and so there is one transition in particular which is horrible, but hopefully the rest is not toooo bad. Well, let me know what you think. Our bit starts on about the hour mark.

This month our guest mix which fills the first hour is supplied by members of the Black Kassa community; Gorbunov & Jolly M8 from Chelyabinsk. They present a multi-genre mix, combining frosty acid, a driving breakbeat and weightless pads. All the gloom of grey everyday life and their reckless weekends.

The second hour sees Invisible Sounds back at the controls and out of control...

Incredible couple of other threads there rich, the nuggets one and the shit electro pop one. Expecting mixes for both of those as well.

Yes and no... I did take the name Invisible City from Calvino but someone already had that name so we changed it to Invisible Sounds... which is why the logo still has a city on it. And the show was called Train to Invisible City which makes more sense than "... to Invisible Sounds".

There is actually this show I did for east side radio which is an hour of garage/psych sevens. One problem though, the mic wasn't picking up my voice properly and the engineer didn't fucking tell me so there is a whole show with me muttering like a twat in the background. So there is an hour of killer tunes... but I gotta admit I find the muttering extremely annoying... so, well, give it a go, let me know what you think. There are really good tunes on there if I do say so myself.

i'll check it out. can never hear you very well anyway tbh, it doesn't get in the way. you and bun u could do with a workshop or something from scratcha cos he is quite clear on the mic. maybe you could get him to guest on one of your shows.

woops

is not like other people
Is there a story behind the name of your label and show, Rich?
@IdleRich was already a famous dj around hackney before i met him i used to see posters up for his old night called sleep all day drive all night which he probably ripped off from this track in the nuggets garage thread

This is a good mix actually, good companion piece like you say. And I can see what you mean, you were doing a lot more talking but you can't hear it very well at all. You wanna get back on the mic.

Glad you like. That was when we had done a few shows on ESR and Liza was away so I said I'd do something different, a one-off garage special cos she doesn't have those records. So I packed up a load of my favourite killers and, on the day I was a bit flustered cos I overslept and I was late, but they let me do it anyway. And, again cos Liza was away, and she would rather just play records, I thought I would do it a bit differently and actually talk and say a bit about each one, but the mic wasn't picking it up... but what I don't get is Tiago was right there in the next room listening, in fact specifically to check that the show is recording properly, and he could have come in so easily whild a track was playing and told me the mic wasn't getting it at all, but he never said anything so there is a whole hour of what I think is really brilliant music but spoiled by this background muttering that could so easily have been corrected. So... that one always kinda rankles with me a bit. But I do think that the tunes are unbeatable - not showing there, I just picked ones mainly that are classics rather than obscurities, but I thought that to people here they would still be unknown.

Nice! One third is Liza, one third Lena and one third Ana, but I forget the order I'm afraid.
Seeimg that picture reminds me, that really was an incredibly fun evening - Cosmos is a tiny bar - especially for Lena to play - and it was totally fllled with friends and strangers all dancing like crazy... everywhere I looked smiling faces. For us particularly it was the culmination of so much work and it was such a relief for it to be a huge happy triumph.
