RIP to a disco GOAT

Him and Leeroy Burgess are responsible for soooooo many classics

Edit: couldn't find a credit for him on this so he may not have played a direct role, but his influence is there plus all the usual Adams collaborators, so it stays.

padraig (u.s.)

a monkey that will go ape

(somehow) obscure, impossibly good b-side off one of the first Prelude 12"s

early inception of the laidback Adams sound (which I'd call his trademark, tho he did uptempo bangers aplenty as well)

endless loop of swelling strings, with a ripping guitar solo toward the end just for kicks

you can definitely hear him reusing his ideas sometimes

which is no surprise considering how insanely prolific he was from 1976-83 or so

i.e. this is kind of a test run for all the later seasick synths sleaze and bumbleebee stuff

a true synth genius btw
