luka responded very weirdly to the discussion of his poems last week. he didn't jump into the convo, nor silently observe out of a paternal laissez-faire obligation like woops did when we were talking about his novel. luka responded as if we were all giving his book three stars on goodreads instead of glowing heartfelt praise. also i think he's trying to convince himself that he'll retire from the creative life early and spend the next 50 years drinking in silence like jean sibelius which is obviously absurd. we all have the sense his greatest work could be yet to come.
