I’d guess that the majority of players share this belief, remember that NFL player that quoted hitler and had former athletes and current athletes defend him
It’s black supremacy, and it’s far more common then you think. Black supremacist exist from actors, to singers, to athletes.
“The oppressed, instead of striving for liberation, tend themselves to become oppressors.”
I’m not at all surprised, and nothing will be done about it either. Imagine any other race saying this? Not only would their career be gone but they could be in danger.
These are black athletes tho, so we know they won’t face any consequences.

I find most Americans have a hodgepodge of inconsistent political beliefs they pick up from media and people in their lives. Black nationalism and its surrounding mythology is probably way, way more prevalent in nba players than most suspect.

These people's worldview would be so much simpler if they realized that hating the outgroup and holding structural power are independent axes

Even men who don't watch basketball go on it every day. Watching basketball has become a subsidiary activity to browsing rNBA. You watch games to know what's going on on the subreddit instead of the other way around

I have to say, Darvin seems like a genuinely good dude who is trying to make the best out of a tough situation and as a lifetime fan of Russ seeing him get love from his hometown made me feel great inside.

I’m hoping this is the start of a redemption arc as he is near the tail end of his career and I would love to see him go out getting love and experience personal growth for the betterment of not only his team but his self.
