me too tho i do think the back end of the book felt a bit perfunctory.

It was but it wasn't really a problem, it wasn't really a crime book to me. My friend was in Portugal the other day saw that book kicking round in my car, he was asking about it and the compliments from Elroy and he asked if it was hardboiled fiction and I didn't think it was really right to say yes to that.
