Rich is a rockabilly/psycchobilly dj. bit much to expect him to be into lush uk garage 'grooves'

i keep telling yaa if you have the need to get serious and stop fapping around you can be the best rockabilly dj ever. No need for mixing. Them mans were so laddish they make Liam Gallagher look like perfect Peter from Horrid Henry. Discipline yourself!

It's all rubbish you're saying? Hard to believe there is nothing good in there - maybe better on the dancefloor than for listening but I've so rarely gone to garage clubs. One time I went with @nochexxx to a night promoting him, there was a bit where the DJ played a solid hour (or 90min or maybe even two hours) totally rinsing the Nochexxx back catalogue - was amazing to me that he had enough bangers to keep the floor jumping like that... how many other artists are there where you could play a whole set consisting of only their stuff and rock it the whole time?

In fact, that reminds me... @nochexxx do you got any killers for this thread?

very kind of you to say Rich. tbh I don't know too much about this stuff. Buck & Bury gets rinsed fairly often though.
perhaps shazam Wogan's show?

we need more depressing music in the world tbh. everyone should become extremely depressed when they listen to music, and get rid of the foolish refuseniks like Craner. Happy music is only for sad people, real eudemonics listen to angry music because they know that 21st century well being comprises depression.

to put this in less polemical terms there is a theory i hear once in a while that sad music is made by otherwise happy people whereas cheerful sounds are only made my bloody miserable b*st*rds

Is this the 'Joy Division were lads who liked a beer and never talked about their feelings' school?

This thread is very much a mixed bag. There are a few good tips and a quite a few others where people have made an effort so that they fit the bill but which I'm just not that keen on. Apart from those - and I don't mean to sound ungrateful here - as always with these kind of threads, there are loads where people have just gone "here is a tune I like" and not even pretended to try and meet the brief. I guess that doesn't matter though, we get to hear some cool stuff and, even if they are not in the style I asked for, if I like 'em enough I'll just play em anyway so fuck it.

But in terms of what I asked for...

This is not too far away (apologies for delay in reply)

This too in fact

One of the Geenus ones was there as well but I can't remember which now.

This is close

Think this (below) is actually the nearest in the whole threadf to what I had in mind

Strangely enough I have this record for some reason

And I played it randomly at the club I have in mind for some reason, long before I had this brilliant idea.... and if I remember it went down pretty well.

Anyway, I will add some more responses... cheers for the tips boys and girls.
