See, with that track, the backing is great, but his vocals aren't interacting with the tune. If you did more time on the vocal production, it would sound amazing. It just sounds like you recorded him, doubled the vocal, put a bit kf reverb on and thought "oh that's ok", and if you want to comprte with the americans - which you obviously do - then put your back into it m8.

i feel like that with a lot of uk stuff. even the new roska album, the vocalists dont quite sound part of the track. terror danjahs always had this problem too.

I never recorded the vocal.

He (Big Narstie) done the acapella over a next tune, sent me the acapella ('coz he knows im an acapella specialist) and told me to do my thing. Two two's now, I made 'Playground' and just slapped his vocals on top for Soundcloud purposes.

Yeah I know what yr saying, just surprised at the ethics of the video. It's very Black Spades era New York ethics, and to my mind a first in grime. I always thought Chronik was too thick to work that stuff out but I was very wrong.
Would be good if Ghetto managed to now recreate the hype on record he did with that Logan set with Rapid and Roachee, he was unbelievable on that. Again very 70s NY, NuYorican poets.

I dunno who thought of it, but he agreed to it. I didn't think he had any ethics at all, I thought he was thick as shit. I was wrong. Less to do with where he was from and more that I mistakenly thought he was educationally subnormal.
