love coil, even have sleazy's threshold houseboys choir and soisong releases and splurged for both batches of Danny Hyde's releases (although yeah, probably not going to continue if he does more, what can possibly be left?). sleazy was also a talented and influential graphic designer with the hipgnosis work. I know someone who knew him, said he was a smart and good guy, albeit with some kinky habits.

so a few minutes googling reveals it's in fact not coil...it's a guy who worked for TRUMP!

No, the Tyson entrance music is not by a band called Coil, it is an original piece commissioned by Trump Plaza's ad agency. I know because I composed and recorded it. In the late '80's I was doing truck loads of music for The Donald and this was something they added to my pile of assignments. It was originally used for the promotional radio spots (narrated by Gene Hackman!) but Tyson and his folks liked it enough to use it for his entrance. But I'm very flattered that people thought it was by a band that they love and I thank you for liking my music.

Coil just got better and better I think. Their final stuff is may be my favourite stuff of theirs.

I can't think of many other bands that were around as long as them who got better and more interesting the longer they went on.

Talk Talk may be, and that's it?

I think about that a lot. How jhon's death after singing "going up" on stage for the last time was an uncannily perfect artistic act. I feel quite uncomfortable about it

From memory, a more fully realised Coil started getting more momentum as Cabaret Voltaire dropped away, discounting Richard Kirk’s solo work. Love TT too. A rich time for creativity in Britain


White Rainbow from Dublin 2004 is another masterpiece, just as good to include the whole show
