Why when learning a new instrument, need one suffer years of being taught shit easy tunes. Why not start with a wicked difficult tune instead and just spend a bit longer to learn something one would actually want to play to people?

Grades 1-7 are a racket, I tell ya.

One thing I've kinda half-heartedly wondered for about twenty years, every time it comes up again I suppose, but never enough to do anything about... what is the meaning of "known as a half-step but yours is a full climb"? Some sort of dance moves? Or my guess, it doesn't mean anything but it just sounds kinda cool.

i might make a rip of it and put it up here. i'm absolutely sure someone will know it. it doesn't really matter, i've been rinsing the tape and historically have found that when i "find" something, i simultaneously lose all interest in it. i would appreciate someone explaining to me why that is. i think cos it means the chase (and associated excitement) has come to an end?

Maybe the original source will clarify things?

My guess: you might refer to someone who's flirting with you with no intention of moving things to the next stage as half-stepping. This girl is so cold that it's a full climb
