questions you are dying to ask but are too scared to b/c of music nerd cred?

Aww Nein

Wild Palms
i like that Soulja Boy song/verse

"I take out ma report card (throw some D's on it!)"

it seems like a good pun, but surely academic D's would be...bad? i dunno.

just watched that. pretty good..

although the massive obvious shots of Matt Mason wearing palladium boots were a big fail.

great film, but i don't agree with Logan that the internet killed pirate radio. rinse, de ja, Live FM...seems stronger than ever to me.

Re: "Ds" there are raps where girls have Ds on 'em as well, which I'd always thought could be about either tits or ass (to give the lyric its due degree of class!)

And isn't the heeee and the hooo stuff like asking what "hey!", "woo!" and "oh!" means? Isn't it just hype noise?

Is it? I genuinely don't know, I mean with Missy's drug intake at that point I think 'heeee' could be the sound of growing a tail and hitting people with it. It was just a random thing that popped into my head when I was makin coffee and I thought I'd ask hive mind.

Thanks for the D things, I'd never have known that.

These questions aren't important, but liable to keep one awake if not put to bed...

Missy's nickname was the "hee-haw girl" so presumably it's based on that.

makes strange noises.
What's the deal with the word "wonky"? Did someone ruin the word for everybody?

I mustn't have been reading any dance music journalism during its rise and fall.

Are there any bands that expose their music (which could easily be recorded) only at live events?

Might be a way to compensate for dwindling physical sales by supercharging personal appearances: 'X will be touring their new 'album' Y, whose songs will never be recorded nor released...'

Burial's long-awaited new album will be performed once and once only, at the O2 Arena this Saturday. The audience will be required to hand in all electronic devices at the door and the concert will be held in complete darkness. All equipment used for sound playback and manipulation will be destroyed after the concert. No recordings will be made. Tickets from £100.

I'd go.

I'd go.

The Grateful Dead kinda did that for years, only they solved the inevitable bootlegging of the gigs by setting up posts where you could plug in and record the live live from the desk, as long as you didn't exchange money for the recording afterwards. They were kind of amazing.
