i have favourite cantos but im not sure i have faviourite sections. the ones people usually enjoy most are the early ones and then the pisan cantos at the end.

like Pynchon or Joyce the cantos are great to read about as well as to read. endless supplementary material.

250 pages in an afternoon !?

Is it as long as that? I wouldn't read that quickly, no. I remembered it as more like 120 with lots of empty space and big letters. I gave mine away to oxfam the day after I read it.

It's an insultingly bad book. The people here who don't like literature per se enjoyed it but people who read Dickens like me and Jenks were appalled.
