I think he starts off in his own voice when he talks about Browning and Sordello then when he mentions Homer's blindness and having an ear for the voices I think we switch to Homer on a ship listening to the crew then it starts to blend with his story of Odysseus.

Had the cantos sitting on my coffee table for about a month and Ill pick it up at random. Every time I think Ive found the pulse I immediately lose it. Not sure what its doing yet.
