Intelligent insights by thinking men---most people will not or cannot absorb this conversation
I think I hate this sort of YouTube comment more than any other. Any video of Murray, Peterson, Hitchens etc is inundated with them. People falling over themselves waffling about IQ and mannered discussion.

How refreshing to hear two grown-ups talking together, after all the juvenile shouting from Antifa, Owen Jones etc.

Absolutely brilliant discussion and a real delight to listen to both these incredibly lucid and powerful minds.

Imagine if all politicians had the intelligence and characteristics of gentleman like these, rather than well spoken snake-oil salesmen pandering to groups

No. He's saying what the unthinkable should be if it's working properly. The ideal to which it aspires.
But stuff outside my ideological range is just stuff I don't like isn't it? It's a bit disappointing that that's what unthinkable means. It's like you go to the circus and they say "well obviously it wasn't gonna be a real giant".

I don't understand what you mean

The thing that comes to mind when I look at the comments under clips of Peterson et al is Burroughs' playing the most extreme message of a given group to their enemies to drive them into a frenzy. They're seeing "postmodern neomarxists" in their soup.

I mean that when they say "Unthnkable" they don't really mean that and they can justify how it's something like that or whatever but really it's a bit of a swiz.
But he's saying it's ok... I'm just saying I'd like something to be actually unthinkable for once... or even close to.

unthinkable in an unconditional sense, that's impossible. unthinkable within the terms if reference of a particular ideology, that's standard
