It's nice they can have a laugh together and do some videos, nice innocent fun. bit eccentric yes but basically harmless. Was it someone on here shared a thing where you can pay fripp for a personalised birthdayg message?

Someone has recently re-uploaded the 1982 BBC documentary series on Glasgow in full which has been missing online for a couple of years.

Rather that hit the love button, many many thanks @RWY . A memory palace for some of us. My Dad worked at H&W for years crisscrossing between Glasgow and Belfast. We moved away in the early 80’s and have always visited along football, birthday and anniversary lines

I've been interested in council estates for a while having had a lot of family grow up in the area between Bromford and Chelmsley Wood. So my second would be one of those. Chelmsley Wood is notorious for having back alleys for criminals to run from the police down and impossible to find house numbers. Bromford is next to the motorway though so that would be my second favourite. Last time I went there I had to get my mobile out and make a sound recording as there's a heavy white noise hum from the traffic on the motorway. I put a flanger on it when I got home and it sounded ace.

I also like Smiths Wood (all these areas kind of join together) but my grandad had his funeral there to the funeral song, Keep Right On.

I admit I was about to say "why stop there, why not a top ten?" but I think he might have that covered too.

We grew up being told it was the biggest estate in Europe but it doesn't even seem make the list of UK ones.

Driving into Paris through the Banlieues are some of the biggest I've seen first hand but I'd expect there's bigger elsewhere. Most of east of Birmingham has a council estate feel to it though.
