He was in some bog standard TV dramas and went for a singing career like many of the cast of neighbours
I remember once reading in very close succession a review of his music in one publication and a review of his acting in another. The first one said something like "Jimmy Nail has a successful acting career, he should abandon singing and stick to that" - as you've probably guessed, the second one said (I paraphrase but near enough) "Jimmy Nail has lately had some chart hits - he should abandon acting and stick to singing".

@mvuent ’s thread about interiors made me think of old blocks of city flats here, now all demolished. Problem was I couldn’t find any interiors beyond a sort of Trainspotting cliche of peeling paint work, crumbling plaster or the sensory maps you’d build up playing, or scoring heroin much later on

Monolithic brutalism, latter of this 3 was where I first saw a machete pulled (and used)
