He's a menace. I read about 10 pages of The Western Canon before deciding I needed to read the entire canon in chronological order and now I'm trapped.

i was guna say youll end up like craner who hasnt read anything in 6 months cos he decided to read the entire canon. the most joyless delibinising exercise imaginable. suck all the plleasure out of reading in one fell swoop

lol it's true, i have these occasional bouts of existential angst which involve realising i can't possibly read all the things one 'should' have read

then i have this euphoric revelation that i don't have to read ANYTHING if i don't feel like it

but slowly the feeling that i really should have read X and Y creeps in and

rinse and repeat

not attainble every day of the week but it's the ideal. you want it to be energising, exciting, electrfying etc. or might as well have a wank instead.

i own a rimbaud book and a baudelaire book but i never read them because i figure if you can't speak french then what's the point
