Are there any left-wing conspiracy theories?

There must be, but the ones I'm aware of all seem to end up back at "the Jews are pulling our strings".

Just thinking maybe we should start creating some and spreading them through the internet

I have a feeling they'd be too boring and true to life tho
Anyone who disagrees with [latest left-wing fad] is a Nazi, perhaps?

If current "right" narrative is to be accepted at face value and liberalism has infected every facet of public policy and media narrative then the most prevalent conspiracy the "left" can take credit for is every moment of your waking life, surely

Agenda 2030 is such a shit name by the way

I've just had a quick scan of the Agenda 2030 document on the uk gov site - adopting a conspiracy mindset I can see that this is obviously an occult plot - if we take the zeros out we get 23, whilst the document outlines 17 goals. Anyone who has read the Illuminatus trilogy will recognise the significance of these numbers...

as for the 17 goals, on the surface they seem reasonable, end poverty, end hunger, etc., but "goal 14" has me really worried

Has the global elite entered into an alliance with the Deep Ones? Are we destined to be sacrificial offerings to Dagon and Mother Hydra?

The graphic for the "climate change" goal raised the hairs on the back of my neck:

pretty blatant use of "The Eye of Providence", which traditionally has the world hidden within the pupil of the all seeing eye - and of course the most famous example of its use is on the dollar bill, where it sits above the phrase, Novus Ordo Seclorum ( 'new order of the ages' ) - in the snappy graphic we can see that the 13 steps of the pyramid have been replaced by the numerical representation...

pretty ominous stuff...
They're not reasonable at all, as no single country has ever eradicated poverty, for instance, let alone the whole world.

But that's a right-wing conspiracy theory – i.e. the leftists are in control.

I don't mean is there a conspiracy theory which puts left wingers at the top of the conspiracy. That's most conspiracy theories, isn't it?

Do you think Agenda 2030 is good?
I've already made my position clear.

But, just to bite, for a moment: for you, "the coming authoritarianism" is always something that is about to happen, and always something being foisted on us by a "liberal elite." I've yet to hear a peep out of you about things that have actually already happened, and have been brought about by the reactionary elite - the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act in this country, or the overturning of Wade vs Roe in the USA, for example - because you clearly agree with them.

The overturning of Wade vs Roe brings the US more into line with the history of ethical thought on the matter, including the dominant current position within academic philosophy.

Don't know where you've got the 'about to happen' line as lockdowns, digital id, elimination of cash have already happened to a large degree

I heard Jeremy Gilbert on a podcast the other day talking about Gordon Brown at the start of his time as Prime Minister having a meeting with Murdoch and walking out white as a sheet, the idea being that Murdoch had scared him so much that he watered down all his plans in government. I suppose it could be true. But there is a left-wing thing about the malevolent Murdoch media.

That's true actually – on both the right and left the belief that politicians are incredibly competent and evil

Like the Bush knocked down the towers thing

I'm not convinced of the green bit, the red bit is definitely bollocks, and this whole argument is no better than "Slavery of one sort or another has existed in most human societies over time, so what's the fuss all about?"

TBH it says everything anyone would need to know about you that you consider debit cards the work of Satan but also think forcing a 10-year-old rape victim to give birth to the rapist's baby an "ethical" stance.

'America went into Afghanistan because they wanted to build a pipeline'

That's a left wing one, that Michael Moore put into Fahrenheit 9/11, that's totally false.

Red bit is totally true: if you can defeat Don Marcuse on this, you can get published
