what they say with therapy, any time theyve done any research, is that the modality counts for nothing. all that matters is the realtionship between you and the individual therapist. and that is always going to be a matter of blind luck. you dont have to like them, it just has to be productive. 90% of people out there will be useless but you might find someone helpful if the gods are smiling.

Sounds like you have a decent handle on things, in fact youre probably more stable than most of us, even being able to talk about it openly is amazing.

The guy I know is a lovely dude with a ton of clinical experience who owes me a favour, Ill hit him up when I can.❤

Make that 4. Was like being a being within my own body. Looking from the perspective of someone or thing inside my own skull, the eye holes were like 2 holes cut out of a big box like when you were a kid.
Bingo. A very good description. Although version's Being John Malkovitch analogy is one that had independently occurred to me, too.

I've had 'ego death' on another occasion, but this was a euphoric experience because by that time I'd learned that the way to deal with the terror is not to try to run from it but to face it head-on and say "OK, I'm ready, teach me."

There's been a particularly batshit conspiracy involving Ash Sarkar in circulation the last few days, due to her posting a picture of herself eating an ice lolly in a park with a few orange emojis. She talks about that a bit here:
Largely I'd agree with her - I think she's being singled out as a target, 'cos she's a Muslim woman. In a country where Jo Cox can get killed, it does actually make me a bit fearful.

@DannyL it was really disturbing how much traction that got. Seemingly ordinary people joining in or being “reasonable” and saying she should just calm it down and apologise if she’d offended anyone. FFS.

some people mentioning the kind of loonery you get with Qanon.

she comes on here. she said she really loves the poetry of Ezra Pound and the music of Vybez Kartel so you know she has to come here. where else caters for that? I like you Ash btw. I support you.

I wonder whether conspiracies have to get more extreme, more convoluted as politicians and public figures become more openly corrupt.

it's like films and TV programs need to stay at least a step ahead to remain interesting. first few seasons of "house of cards" were great at the time because it was all so crazy, but Trump has exceeded pretty much everything in those episodes IRL (except maybe for pushing a reporter in front of an oncoming subway train, but there's still time...)

Read a few things lately about US senators making cryptic QAnon tweets in order to shore up the extreme right fan base in america as elections are looming. Surprising that this anonymous reddit-based paedophile obsessed conspiracy was the one to go mainstream. Lots of factors combining at once in a perfect storm to go viral or whatever.

Is there a good cynical documentary about it yet? I tried watching plandemic ironically but it was just too shit.

not as far as i know but its one of the most interesting stories around. i was saying to Danny yesterday its almost imposssible to look at it without developing your own conspiracy theories about Q's ultimate identity and designs
