yes, clearly that's part of it. I don't like setting up 'the schizo-typal character' as a freak to be mocked and patronised.

I also don't like the attempt to trademark and corner the conversation by inventing a brand 'conspirituality'. I'm the conspirituality guy come to me for all your conspirituality takes!

I wasn’t responding to your question I was following from my own post

What would you like to talk about?

It's not so much what I'd like to talk about do much as our collective starting point.... we can't patronise these people we are these people!

Is it really Trump though? Or did he just strike it lucky to be included in the "deep state" narrative

Because that shit has existed for years & I'm not sure the conspiracy/wellness situation really has much to do with trump. It seems more like his initial rallies felt like an act of rebellion against the GOP culture & it was easier for them to write him in as part of the story

Trump captured a huge swathe of these people in a way that is unprecedented. Not by design, or not completely by design, but it happened.

In that it paints him as victim as well as perpetrator, yes.

And you know that’s my view on this too as I’ve said a few times on this thread

If Hilary had won but the pandemic happened we would probably be looking at the same things happening on social media re reset/vaccine suspicions/q etc

It would arguably be more powerful as they would have a clear enemy in charge of the country

He did but I'm talking specifically about the wellness/spirituality situation. That's not something that was there when he got voted in, its the pandemic that has created this. And it's not right or left wing necessarily either

I didn't get any sense of mockery, really. The author seems, if anything, to feel sorry for him. You can spin that as being patronising, if you wish, I suppose.

I don't think many impeccably presented yoga types were deep state conspiracists in 2016 is what I'm saying. Although I am maybe talking more about the beautiful filter people who have gone mad than the likes of our shaman over there
