I don't know that much about Control Tower but it was run by Keith Tenniswood (and I've got a feeling that Dexorcist was involved as well). I think I've got a record by Dead Silence Syndicate on CT too but I don't know anything about them doing drum & bass.
I think that Lula who runs the Wang party (in my opinion the best night in London for ages) used to work for Control Tower, they certainly used to put on Radioactive Man and other CT things like Kansas City Prophets.
The Wang residents included Ed Chamberlain from Norwich/Brighton and I think that they put out stuff on their own label Baselogic (http://www.baselogic.co.uk) so that might be a place to check.
Scand is another infrequent night pushing a similar sound (the guy makes records under the name Cultek on Touchin' Bass) and so is Delta9 although I don't know if they are still doing their stuff.
Satomile was another label putting out similar stuff, again not sure if they still are or what.
Seed records also put on parties in interesting places round London and release their own records though maybe they're a bit different (http://www.seedrecords.co.uk/)

2006 era rich was cool, too much bbc 6 music after that though. :p just joking.

smokebelch was a fine record (heard it on an advert recently)-was it sampling an LTJ Bukem record?
the first Inky Blacknuss (sabrettes?) record was fabulous...
the rest of his records I could live without.
but for my money early-mid 90's he was the greatest.
(was his DJing that psychedelic or did other factors contribute?)

the 'tash sounds wonderful.
I remember the story that Smokebelch was an LTJ Bukem track too. I think it was in Muzik magazine or something? But I’ve never been able to find it again so assumed I’d misremembered. So this is great to see.
It’s actually LB Bad’s New Age of Faith as I’m sure everyone knows now but in the mid 90s it was still possible to start a rumour...

Let's Talk About Ceps
Go on, tell us again how David Bowie was a hackneyed crooner on the same level as Gary Barlow.

That era of weatherall is over mythologised anyway.

He got way better when he teamed up with Keith Teniswood and went down the full knacker pannel beaters from prague 'ere we go route.
I love radioactive man but don’t care about any of that stuff at all

tbf I don't understand why Luka doesn't get into rockabilly like weatherall did. I mean it's not hugely my thing, but it's perfect midwestern spiritualist nutcase cowboy music, perfect for Luke's temperament.

That whole thing was a very odd move. I remember being really stoned at Bloc weekend watching them thinking why are you doing this lads
