Some facts:

1. The world's population can fit into Siberia and Antarctica no problem.
2. Some put the carrying capacity of the world at over 40 billion. Even if those people are a quarter as happy we have an increase in total happiness.
3. New births can create new souls and reports suggest 90% of those have a great time when not incarnated.
4. Stop making new cars. Use the old ones and some of the engine designs that were hidden by the oil baron cartels in the early 20th century. Some of the engines were electric but more simple. Others could run on alcohol or on pretty much anything you've got lying around.
5. People are generalising from their family planning strategy for which middle-class people fret that they have absolutely all of the resources they need to bring up Jameson and Braithwaite but if they just focussed on outputting as many as possible everything will turn out all right. This is the 'old school' way.
6. The universe has created us because we are brilliant at burning things and turning stuff into the grey mulch the universe wants to be. So don't feel too guilty, it's not your fault.
7. Take a local holiday and remember to reuse your carrier bags.
8. Deaths from cold greatly outnumber deaths from heat.
9. I consider myself very Környezet Barátságos but in a local fashion where it is obvious where things are going badly or well.

The tractors are out protesting in Spain now too;

Like colleagues in France, Belgium, Italy and Portugal, Spanish farmers are complaining about the increasing weight of European bureaucracy, low produce prices and rising costs.

They say demanding rules imposed on EU farmers to protect the environment makes them less competitive than peers in other regions, such as Latin America or non-EU Europe.
