This is worth quoting:

The coprolite was found in 1972 beneath the site of what was to become the York branch of Lloyds Bank and may be the largest example of fossilised human faeces ever found,[2] measuring 20 centimetres (8 in) long and 5 centimetres (2 in) wide. Analysis of the stool has indicated that its producer subsisted largely on meat and bread whilst the presence of several hundred parasitic eggs suggests they were riddled with intestinal worms. In 1991, York Archaeological Trust employee and paleoscatologist, Dr Andrew Jones, made international news with his appraisal of the item for insurance purposes: "This is the most exciting piece of excrement I've ever seen... In its own way, it's as irreplaceable as the Crown Jewels".[1] The layers that covered the coprolite were moist and peaty. They preserved not only the coprolite but also timber, textiles and leather.[3]

Yeah I'm glad you posted the Wikipedia page with more detail, cos I was considering sending the link to a friend, but didn't do, cos it didn't seem so interesting, but the crown jewels comparison does seem to heighten my interest a little, so I'm going to reconsider sending it to my friend

Nope, I’m still trying to process that article - an emoticon that’s so far beyond disgust, understanding and the grotesque reality of “check this poor cunt out”. How? What? How again? No. Surely that’s wrong. You what? Who?

Got to destroy some minds by forwarding that.

Closest comparison was a G-article about a doctor who outlined the worst death he’d encountered in his entire career. Summed up by, I think, a man who had an aggressive stomach cancer (or something majorly wrong bowel-wise) who was burping up fecal matter. He’d been referred because of extreme halitosis, then the inspection confirmed the worse. Poor bastard died with shite oozing out of stomach wounds that hadn’t healed during surgery.

Think I need to lay down a minute.

This place sounds like the Hunterian Museum in London, which has all sorts of gross stuff - skeletons of syphilis victims, etc.
