I keep telling Luke to try that combination. you will moderate your intake after that anyway cos you have the burn of the fermented turnip juice hitting with the burn of the raki/ouzo. And the spiced shalgam annuls the aniseed taste. A drink fit for a warrior, one might say.

now if you want to get absolutely shitfaced in no time you can just mix it with water but for social occasions this is the ideal combination.

I would say at least 75% of the people I'm surrounded by in my neighbourhood are alcoholics of some description.

I think I had some sort of turnip juice before in a Turkish place in London but it definitely wasn't black. It was nice iirc. Or it may have been the juice of some other vegetable I can't quite remember

I seem to remember some sort of pinkish purplish liquidy thing that was surprisingly sweet. Maybe it wasn't turnip, fuck knows, but it was it nice

Hold on a sec, now I realise I was talking about turnip juice as some sort of condiment in a restaurant, not an alcoholic drink which does indeed sound absolutely vile
