Oh I've seen those yes, very nice beer. Posh choice though. I'd struggle to find that up here. But I'll keep an eye out for it.

what i would say is dont drink to 'enjoy' it. drink to push your limits and break through into new regions of psychosis. dont have an easy night, try and locate your blocks and override them, undo yourself with focussed and reckless drinking and if it only results in boorishness and humilation tonight, try again tomorrow on a different angle of appraoch. sometimes its conditions at launch that botch the mission

On the day last weekend when I had 12 pints, at the end of thd night, that same woman who I took to see the tree called me over as I was leaving, to talk to this sound system guy who is growing a banana tree.

So I was trying to explain my project to him, the GANs, the marriage of nature and technology, apophenia, forest bathing etc and at one point he had to stop me and told me simply

"Can you back off out of my face please".

Is that the sort of breakthrough you are talking about or am I on the wrong track?

I thought I had a breakthrough on 6 pints on Friday with my realization that the anxiety can become love but perhaps it wasn't a breakthrough after all

In season 2 of the wire all the dockers get a shot and a beer but they seem to be drinking Heineken in bottles. Which you just wouldn't do in this country. Heineken is not a beer anyone drinks nowadays.

I think I mentioned this once before, but Heineken (or "heinnies", as we called them) used to be considered top-shelf here, back before we had many other imported beer and local brews. It was the earliest import in my neck of the woods (the first green bottle I ever saw), premium priced and stronger than bud or miller.
