The cannabis debate

i've been in so many weed shops lately, they're absolutely fucking everywhere, getting the run down of what gummies are good and what product is what, weed juul pods and brand names, something called 'delta 8' that someone explained to me once but which i've totally forgotten

i'd always thought that when weed was legal it would be like going to the off license and buying fags but its really not, it's more like going to the sweet shop

Delta-8 is the lighter on the mind thc-family member than delta-9. You can buy it here if you don’t mind coughing up blood from amateur-made carts

Cartels grow along the west coast, so decriminalisation hasn’t weakened their market influence at all and may have consolidated income streams

love how those stores all have the same aesthetic: bright overhead fluorescent lights, stoner wall drawings, and munchies. can't wait for the state licensed dispensaries that look like apple stores, with difference varieties kept in cool glass jars.

Never been in one, but if I ever do, I'll be highly disappointed if it doesn't have a big poster of Bob Marley, the pope, an alien and Bart Simpson sharing a huge bifter.

no they're way less cool than you'd expect. the nyc ones at least. they look like sweet shops. but instead of that cosy newsagents thing where everything is crammed in together, they've all for some reason rented these shops which are too big for what they need, so there's like one guy behind a counter at the end of the shop with a glass case with everything in, and he'll (always a he, quite a lot of them are yemeni i think) take you through the wares and do the hard sell. sometimes there are glass cases on the walls with more stuff in.

literally all of these have appeared in the last year or so, since legalisation in ny state, and they are fucking everywhere, there must be a lot of money in it, just throw one up and watch the dollars roll in. most interestingly they're illegal, i'm serious, there's only one shop that has a license to sell weed, everyone else seems to be totally getting away with it though

It’s said money doesn’t grow on trees

Do any of these products come with serial batch numbers, because if they don’t you have no source of provenance, chains of operations or lab testing. Sketchy as fuck but by all means stock up

Know of folks on the east coast who buy products on the west coast during visits and just fly home with a suitcase half full of edibles. Only reason is established lab batch testing and profiling

that's why lots of people are waiting on the state licensed dispensaries to open. yeah, I wouldn't feel confident buying from most of the head shops around here.

I can actually see the market for something like this, though. as more states here legalize it for personal use and dispensaries continue to open, there will be more people smoking at home. doesn't matter if you live in a house, but lots of apartment buildings here already have smoking bans for cigarettes, pipes and cigars. if this thing works, you'd probably be able to sneak a "sesh" without the neighbors knowing.
These things will be compulsory for smokers before long

I got a flyer through the door the other day for a place called "shakes & vapes".

It's in all bright colours and is entirely Waffles and milkshakes and things. There's no mention of vapes of the menu, just in the title.

It's a sort of alternate reality to the pub. A place for young Muslim girls and boys to go and hang out. That's the vision.

Are you sure the millshakes and waffles aren't there just to advertise the range of vape flavours on offer?

I read about the benefits of cannabis and I want to try it. I know that cannabis helps in many cases to relieve symptoms and it is cool that people are able to use it. I have had a really bad headache in recent months. I tried different pills and traditional methods, but nothing helped. Now I want to order cannabis and I hope, it will relieve my pain.
