Goals, I’m been a wretched spliff-smoking freak of the night going on ten years. No desire to combust without tobacco, but if I can get over the pleasures of smoking a tincture sounds great. I’ve never liked the high from edibles and vaping is not an attractive option either. I live in Washington state which is booming with legal shops, might have to see what they have once this latest quarter goes poof. Thanks for the inspo

Currently 2.5 weeks cannabis-free after several years of daily use, going through a (quite potent) eighth or two every week, not to mention the tobacco.

Finally just got over the psychologically tormenting and demonic, Silent Hill-esque nightmares (possibly with help from Tulsi and Ashwagandha), and so finally getting good sleep again. Night sweats subsided after 3-4 days. Urge to smoke now practically absent.

Will probably keep this up for another 3 months at the very least, but if I return to cannabis I am curious to try the tinctures, and will do my best to opt for only intermittent use, so as to not have to repeat this rather unpleasant process.

As a society we are choosing sensitivity over productivity, because our productivity has become a cargocult without industrial purpose

Not sure this is true, has society actually made that choice? How so? Can you give examples?

Also, what's so sacrosanct about productivity?

And what does any of this have to do with weed?

Don't ask follow up questions until he's answered the original question in English. We're not letting him worm out of this one

Maybe he's referring to the notional "productivity" around so-called bullshit jobs. Busyness as the central post-protestant virtue, etc.

Severance is a great commentary here.

Thank you yes. I will delegate to Stan to be my explainer par excellence around here.

In the 1950s, an interest in the "happiness" individual Americans was propaganda. In reality, it was a productivity culture that threw away all personal pleasures for social stability and the chance at a shiny car.

Today individual happiness (and suffering) is perhaps the central philosophical value, the way utility is measured. Phenomenology and feeling rule, the end of everything.
